Mac OS X 10.5 introduced Spaces, which lets users create virtual Desktops and overcome the limited Desktop real estate imposed by computer displays. The problem was that Spaces pushed an "application per workspace" instead of a "project per workspace" mindset, but Mac OS X 10.5.3 fixes that with little more than a mouse click.

The phrase "security through obscurity" gets tossed around from time to time when discussing Mac OS X. The theory is that since Macs still represent a fraction of the available computers on the internet, there's less of an incentive for virus writers, malware authors, spambot harvesters, Comcast sales reps, and other purveyors of electronic evil to harass and attack the platform.
